Photography often has the feeling of having two polar opposites. It can either be a very carefully thought out process or something more left up to chance, allowing events to unfold in front of you. Grant Sorrell’s work is about the latter. However Grant’s work is interested in the fleeting moment, chance isn't the only thing responsible. A good photographer knows when to press the shutter and when the right moment aligns itself in front of the camera.

“Up until now, photography has coincided with skateboarding. Most of these pictures were shot whilst out skating. These photographs are essentially fleeting moments that I have found interesting. That’s pretty much what my work is about, freezing and presenting odd moments that usually pass us by.”
